KFC works with animals in kids promotion

KFC has joined with Animal Planet—part of entertainment company Discovery Communications Inc—in the fast food marketers latest kids-targeted meals promotion.

The promotion revolves around Animal Planet “Viewcams” that are available with every Kids Meal purchase at KFC stores nationally.

The Viewcam lets the viewer see images and information about animals from four different species—big cats, whales and dolphins, great apes and birds of the air.

Each Viewcam contains 11 colour slides from Animal Planet’s extensive photographic library and is accompanied by animal facts.

Head of Animal Planet Phillip Luff said the partnership offered Animal Planet a major opportunity to “reach Australians and motivate them to better appreciate the animal kingdom”.

“As a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Discovery Networks, two of the world’s most respected names in the television industry, Animal Planet has an impressive collection of animal images that come alive through the Viewcams,” said Luff.
