Energizer consolidates with Mediaedge:cia Camille Alarcon
Energizer has consolidated its $30m media account across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and African regions handing it to Mediaedge:cia (MEC).
The agency has been the incumbent in Australia for almost a year now—previously held by Mediacom—and was involved in the global pitch.
Mediaedge:cia group business director Adrian Smith said: “We’ve really enjoyed working with Energizer over the past nine months and we’re delighted to be able to continue this close partnership”.
Energizer’s brands include Energizer, Eveready and Schick.
“MEC were the clear winner in terms of the quality of ideas they presented and the calibre of and chemistry with the teams that would work on our business. And of course the efficiencies that their tools, know-how and group volume leverage will bring to our channel investments,” area marketing director Energizer Asia Pacific, MC Lai, said.
MEC’s global solutions division in Singapore has been charged with the central management of the account.
It’s believes OMD and ZenithOptimedia were also on the shortlist for the business.
