Fitness First Australia has appointed Global Red Australia as its direct member communications agency. The customer interaction agency will develop and manage behaviour based marketing solutions to communicate and interact with over 350,000 existing Fitness First members across 92 Australian clubs. Fitness First Australia marketing director Andy Mallinson said the appointment of Global Red is part of a broader strategy to reinforce the member experience and engage members more.
The 2010 D&AD Awards has invited three Australians and one Kiwi to judge next year’s awards. Publicis Mojo co-chairman and chief creative officer Craig Davis, BMF Sydney creative director Simon Langley and Saatchi & Saatchi executive creative director Steve Back make up the Australian contingent, while Philip Andrew, CEO and ECD of Clemenger BBDO Wellington is there from New Zealand. Judging takes place from 19-22 April in London and winners will be announced in June.
Foxtel will this Sunday launch its 30 new channels, which will be automatically delivered to subscribers nationally. In addition to launching the new channels, the pay TV operator is automatically enabling the new iQ TV Guide features – iSuggest and Record Me – for all iQ and iQ2 subscribers. The new channels include themed movie channels, new sports and documentary channels, and tailored general entertainment channels.
Marketing and entertainment group Peer Group Media has hired Kate Edwards, head of client services, sales and strategy at pay TV company XYZ Networks to be its new managing director. Peer Group Media’s current MD Andrew Reid is moving to the newly created position of director, strategy and research. The group has built up its management due to business growth and the imminent launch of The Music Network’s digital site.
