Young Marketer Awarded Trip to Cannes
Tara Hayes

Stuart Carr, a media buyer from Starcom in Sydney, has been named Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) Young Marketer of 2006. It is the first year the awards have been held.

The Young Marketers’ Awards have been set up by the AANA in order to encourage young people in the marketing industry to reach beyond their current capabilities, experience and knowledge.

Entrants had to submit a 3000-word essay on a topic specified by the AANA.

This year’s topic was consumer engagement.

For his efforts, Carr wins a trip to the Cannes Advertising Festival.

The AANA also awarded Rebecca Jennings, a marketing specialist with Yellow Pages Sensis in Melbourne and Chong-Lan Ku, a segmentation analysis manager at Medibank with certificates of achievement.
