Hyundai hires Underbelly star

 
Ideaworks has employed the acting skills of Underbelly star Rodger Corser to front its latest campaign for Hyundai’s ESP Stability Control.

The ad aims to show the capabilities of the safety technology with the use of a “ghost” car. A Hyundai is send driving along when a truck pulls out in front of the car. The “ghost car” is seen to swerve and go into a spin, while the Hyundai fitted with the ESP halts in a safe position.

Corser talks the viewer through the sequence and how the car responds to an emergency scenario.

The campaign is also supported by three 15-second offer-focused TV sports, a microsite called stabilitycontrol.com.au, online expandable banners, classified press and point of sale.
