ACP, Pacific moot new launches Danielle Veldre & camille Alarcon
ACP Magazines is understood to be launching a new title in the youth space.
The news comes as Pacific Magazines indicated it would also be launching a new youth title later this year.
The ACP magazine is understood to be for children. The publishing company already publishes Disney Adventures, Disney Girl and Winnie the Pooh for the tween market, but has been unable to match the success of Pacific Magazines’ tween titles such as K-Zone and Total Girl.
An ACP source agreed that “there’s a lot happening in the wonderful world of ACP kids”, but would not be drawn on the details.
At the Seven Network’s annual results briefing this week, Pacific Magazines executive director, Ryan Stokes, said it was too early to comment on new launches, but Pacific chief executive, Nick Chan, tacitly confirmed to B&T there is a new youth launch slated for this year.
Pacific Magazines closed down its youth music title Juice, which it acquired from Terraplanet and the new launch may be a replacement for a title in this sector.
