TWENTY-SIX finalists have been chosen for the 2003 Internet Awwwards which recognise the effectiveness of online advertising and marketing and showcase the creativity of the industry.
Now in its 6th year, the Internet Awwwards have attracted a diversity of entries from more than 50 companies, including some first-time entrants.
Selected from 158 entrants, the finalist campaigns will now be judged by a panel of ten final judges, including two international judges for the first time.
US Marketing Evolution principal Rex Briggs and Euro RSCG head of global business David Jones will join local judges chaired by Heather Albrecht, lecturer for the UTS/AFA Executive Certificate in eMarketing.
Winners will be announced at the awards presentation event in Sydney on November 13.
Ninemsn director Jason Scott said there had been a strong resurgence in online advertising over the last year which was reflected in the quality of the entrants in this year’s Internet Awwwards.
“This year’s entries demonstrated a very high standard across the various criteria including: creativity, effective use of the internet and the choice of technology,” Scott said.
The public can also have their say and cast a vote in the Nielsen/NetRatings’ Popular Choice Award to be hosted by B&T , the Awwwards’ official media partner. See the B&T website from the end of next week for more information.
Tickets are now on sale for the presentation event and cocktail party to be held at The Argyle Store, The Rocks from 7pm. Tickets are $88 including GST and can be purchased online at http://www.awwwards.com.au
