WPP AUNZ Partners With Career Trackers Indigenous Internship Program

Advertising and marketing network WPP AUNZ has joined the Career Trackers Indigenous Internship Program as part of its commitment to a diverse workforce, and the creation of opportunities that inspire excellence.

As part of the program, WPP AUNZ has welcomed its first three interns: Abi-Leigh Dillon (WPP AUNZ), Amy Mccutcheon (MediaCom) and Jacinta Evans (Ogilvy), who started this month in different disciplines and roles.

WPP AUNZ’s chief HR and talent officer, Elissa Good-Omozusi, said: “At WPP AUNZ, we believe an inclusive and diverse workforce is more collaborative, creative, effective, and contributes to our overall success.

“We acknowledge that we need to be more active in providing opportunities for Indigenous Australians.

“The Career Trackers program has helped WPP AUNZ engage with students to experience what a career could be in media and advertising, while helping to build their network and support structures.”

Dillon said: “Programs like Career Trackers allow students like me to share their personal stories and gain valuable industry experience and connections.

“I am based in the HR and talent team at WPP AUNZ, where I am building the skills for a career in human resource management, which I plan to pursue upon graduating.

“I am proud to stand up as an Aboriginal woman and feel honoured that I have these fantastic opportunities to learn and to share my heritage with others.”

Good-Omozusi said WPP AUNZ hopes to be involved with the program throughout the year via multiple intakes, with plans to expand the program to a greater number of agencies across the group.
