Taxi App goCatch Appoints New Republique As New Creative Partner

Smartphone taxi booking and payments application, goCatch, has chosen New Republique as its long term creative advertising agency partner.

This is the first time goCatch has appointed a creative agency. The move coincides with a period of rapid growth for goCatch and follows substantial investment in the award winning taxi-booking company.

Head of marketing at goCatch, Charles Hunter, said the appointment of New Republique coincided with significant national expansion of goCatch and a spike in driver and passenger uptake in the free app.

“There’s been significant national growth for goCatch use across the country over the past 12 months,” Mr Hunter said.

“The time is right for us to push the button on an agency relationship to further enhance our growth and build our “challenger” brand within the Australian taxi industry.

“goCatch is the country’s leading taxi booking and payments app with more than 30 thousand registered drivers in all capital city markets and a passenger base of over 350 thousand.

“New Republique will work on a range of projects with us over the next 12 months, with a view to further embedding our brand into the consumer and corporate markets.

“New Republique will lead the brand strategy and creative work across digital activities, ATL and experiential marketing across both consumer and corporate brands,” he said.

As part of the agency selection process, New Republique worked on a project to promote the benefits of the app to business professionals through a campaign based entirely on lift and foyer plasma screens.

Founder and CEO of New Republique, Nima Yassini said, “We’re delighted by the appointment. We’re keen users of the app and we really respect the innovation that the company has brought to the segment. We look forward to doing some great work together.”
