Taboo Goes On A Hiring Spree

Taboo Goes On A Hiring Spree

In response to strong growth across key clients including TAC, Telstra, CUB, MECCA and Schnitz, Taboo has made some significant additions to its team.

Among the fresh faces is creative director Nick Jamieson, who’ll oversee the agency’s creative department alongside Reece Hobbins.

As well as a strong beard game, Jamieson brings a wealth of experience from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, where he was creative director of activation, working on clients including Mars, Petcare, CUB, Nike and Fonterra.

Commenting on his appointment, Jamieson said: “In a world where the idea of non-traditional advertising is talked about a lot, Taboo is an agency that puts its money where its mouth is.

“Their drive to generate truly modern ideas that people actually want to be a part of is what makes this opportunity so exciting.”

Tatum Ambler joins Taboo as digital strategist, having worked at both Publicis and Starcom. Ambler brings a wealth of experience on accounts such as Suncorp, Lion Dairy and Drinks, Snooze, Fiat Chrysler Australia and Treasury Wines Estates.

Ollie Reeves left CHE Proximity to join Taboo as a senior account director. During his trans-Tasman career, Reeves has founded a tech company and worked on major brands such as Heineken, Kronenburg and Carlsberg, Australian Super, AGN, Laminex and Sensis.

Melanie O’Rourke joins Taboo as creative services director. She has corralled creative departments at some of Melbourne’s top agencies including the former GPY&R, DDB, BWM and BMF.

Taboo director James Mackinnon said: “We always look for people who have a genuine love of ideas and creativity, but also the sense to see beyond the echo chamber of the agency boardroom.

“To welcome these four talented and diverse people is incredibly exciting for both us and our clients.”
