Shopper Media Group Now Has Smartlite Digital Panels in Every State and Territory

Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) business, Shopper Media Group now has Smarliite digital panels installed every state and territory, recently adding the Northern Territory to its portfolio of over 150 shopping centres nationally.

The latest signing has Shopper Media Group on track to installing more than 1000 Smartlite digital advertising panels across 300 Australian shopping centres by the end of 2016.

The high-tech Smartlite digital panels offer unparalleled marketing influence in shopping centre advertising with HD screens, beacon technology, webcam and intelligent WiFi analytics that are changing the way shopping centres are managed and consumers are shopping.

Shopper Media Group CEO Ben Walker said: “ The SmartLite panels greatly enhances the consumers shopping experience by providing free Wi-Fi with a faster connection than 4G and unlimited data to guarantee the best possible experience within the shopping centre. But what sets them apart is their ability to capture a huge range of consumer analytics and it this offering that has Shopping Centres signing on.”

“When a consumer registers and accesses the free SmartLite WiFi within a shopping centre their shopping behaviour, social media and internet use are tracked giving our clients access to a greater understanding of their individual centre’s traffic flow,” Walker added.

Smartlite analytics can generate a real time heat map of the consumer’s usage and movement around the centre, Walker said. “This type of data helps shopping centres to better understand consumers, their community and manage their facilities on an operational level as well as understanding better what their consumers need, allowing them to create a community that connects within the shopping centre.”

For advertisers the analytics captured by the SmartLites offers key insights into consumer behaviours and interests enabling them to better integrate their messaging, and ensuring that consumers are being served relevant information, on time, in real time and on their path to purchase.

Shopper Media Group managing director, Ed Couche said, “Smartlites provide shopping centres and advertisers all the targeted data analytic benefits received with an online campaign and with broadcast reach benefits only digital Out-of-Home advertising can offer. With Smartlites in every state and territory we now offer advertisers a national footprint to drive their campaigns.”

Walker believes the rapid acquisition of Smartlite panels by shopping centres is firmly establishing them as the new industry standard for retail Digital Out-Of-Home advertising.

“Not simply because of the technological advancement of the Smartlite digital panels and the fact they are100 percent digital solution, but because of the data they can provide to shopping centres and advertisers. With ability to capture and provide a huge range of consumer analytics, shopping centres and advertisers can now serve up relevant, customised content to consumers, and an improved overall shopping experience.”
