Rapper Shows Fellow Shoppers What It’s Like To Have A Dying Phone Battery

Rapper Mac Lethal shocked fellow shoppers in the grocery stores when he speed rapped his way through a shopping list on the phone, all because his phone battery was about to die.

As part of a new campaign for Asus’ Zenfone Max Android handset, which claims to last 38 days on a single charge (likely story), SuperHeroes New York added created the new spot inside a supermarket in Rotterdam.

Mac Lethal enters the store on his phone, discussing dinner plans, before loudly explaining his phone battery is about to die and he’ll have to make his chat quick, with some impressive rapping skills following.

The online clip is currently closing in on 15 million views across all platforms in just over a week.

“We’ve seen countless comments where people point out they hate advertising, but have destroyed their repeat button watching this film,” Rob Zuurbier, partner and managing director of SuperHeroes New York, told AdWeek.

A similar stunt inside a coffee shop, where Mac is on the phone to a customer service centre, is moving somewhat slower with views, but still having the same sort of impact on fellow coffee lovers.
