Qantas Launches New Ad Series To Introduce You To The People Behind The Roo

Qantas is rolling out a fresh set of advertisements that move past the passengers and explore the lives of the people below deck, working for the airline.

From today, the national carrier is unveiling its second series of ads celebrating Qantas staff, following on from the ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign and building on the creative from last year that tapped into the people behind the brand.

The series starts with the story of Rachel Bacon, a Qantas engineer in Brisbane, and will go on to feature a range of other workers for the airline, which you can watch below.

George Fountoulakis, baggage handler

Jennifer Catalano, lounge host

Egon Mahr, A330 captain

BWM is behind the latest work, and will be sending the campaign wide via digital, print, social, below the line, out-of-home and in-terminal advertising. A stack of accompanying series of videos will also be screened in cinemas and on Qantas social channels.

Qantas Group executive brand, marketing and corporate affairs Olivia Wirth said it made perfect sense to focus on this aspect of the brand’s identity.

“We know that one of the reasons why so many people choose to fly Qantas is our people,” she said.

“With this series of advertisements we introduce some of our employees who work across different parts of the business, including those who work behind the scenes but are absolutely vital to your journey.”
