Initiative Australia CEO Melissa Fein has announced the appointment of Nick Wokes as general manager of Initiative Sydney.

Wokes is currently a client group director at Initiative Sydney, having joined the agency in January this year. He has more than 14 years’ media experience with Mediacom and Match in Sydney and with Zenith in New York, where he led media strategy for major corporates including IKEA, Maserati, Toshiba and JP Morgan Chase.

With his new position Wokes joins Initiative Australia’s senior leadership team. He will take responsibility for Initiative Sydney’s performance including the quality of work for the agency’s clients. He remains responsible for several of the agency’s high-profile clients including Cancer Council NSW, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and he was also instrumental in the agency’s win earlier this year of the national Pizza Hut account.

“Nick is a high-calibre executive, as well as a great team and client leader,” said Fein. “His new leadership in Sydney will bring greater energy and focus to driving the agency’s performance for our people and our clients.”
