Monkeys Copywriter Launches Platform For Stressed-Out Industry Creatives

A new website is giving creative people a platform for dealing with some of the challenges and issues they face on the job, in the way they know best: creatively.

The site, called Gabberish, was created by Siobhan Fitzgerald (main photo), a creative at The Monkeys, Melbourne, and it launches today – featuring paintings, poems, cartoons and doodles from creatives around the country, as well as articles and interviews exploring key issues.

Fitzgerald said of the initiative: “Our jobs can be exhilarating, but they can also be really tough. The creative department is highly competitive and hierarchical, and a lot of creative people have real issues with stress- but we’re not good at talking about it.

“Gabberish will give creatives a place to express some of their thoughts and issues creatively, or simply share some of the side projects they’ve been working on.”

Issue number one deals with rejection and features Ant Keogh, CCO The Monkeys Melbourne, who was recently named most awarded CCO in the world by The Drum.
