McCann Sydney Strengthens Creative Team With Digital Young Guns

McCann Sydney has appointed award-winning creative team copywriter Jonathon Shannon and art director Long Truong (pictured above) to work under executive creative director Jerker Fagerström and creative director Marcus Tesoriero.

Shannon and Truong join McCann from Holler Australia, where they worked for two years together across digital and integrated campaigns for Audi, Blackmores, Heineken, Fox Sports, Pizza Hut, and Nestlé.

Fagerström said the pair’s strong digital background and ability to get to the heart of an insight will be real assets to McCann’s clients.

“They’re exactly the type of creatives we need to continue to build our agency’s profile,” he said.”

Tesoriero said Shannon and Truong will be a great fit for the agency’s new creative offering.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with them to craft a new era of innovative work for our clients,” he said.

Shannon said he and Truong couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to take their work to the next level.

“Both Long and I are excited to be part of such a killer creative department, and we’re also looking forward to smoking the lot of them at table tennis,” he said.

McCann’s latest appointments add to several new hires by over the past six months, including art director Fernando Luz and copywriter Will Halstead, who finished first and third respectively at AWARD School NSW last year.
