JWT Sydney Downsizes Creative Team

WPP-owned agency J. Walter Thompson Sydney has confirmed it has let go of some of its creatives as part of a restructure of the business.

A statement issued to B&T from a WPP spokesperson said “a small number of staffing changes have been made” as the agency “works towards the implementation of a new structure based on business needs”.

“Out of respect for the few staff involved, J. Walter Thompson will not provide specific detail, will not confirm the individuals involved or make further comment at this time,” the statement said.

“An announcement about the final structure will be made in due course.”

The move comes after JWT’s Melbourne team lost the creative duties for Vegemite and Bega after 74 years last week.
