Intelligent Digital Out-of-Home Lights Up Shopper Experience

Australia’s fastest growing Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) media business Shopper Media Group has announced it will install more than 1000 Smartlite digital advertising panels and high density WiFi in 300 shopping centres around Australia.

Shopper Media Group CEO and Founder Ben Walker said, “Shopper Media Group has achieved aggressive growth within six months of our first Smartlite installation as our panels are the most technologically advanced in the market.”

Smartlite panels offer unparalleled marketing influence in shopping centre advertising with HD screens, beacon technology, webcam and intelligent WiFi analytics giving the consumer a deeper level of digital connectivity and engagement.

The 2015 Deloitte Mobile Phone Consumer Survey[1] found more than 94 per cent of the Australian respondents relied on their smartphones to communicate, research products and acquire information while shopping, while 59 per cent preferred to connect their smartphone using WiFi instead of their mobile network.

When a consumer registers and accesses the free Smartlite WiFi within a shopping centre their shopping behaviour and social media and internet use are observed providing Shopper Media Group clients with a better understanding of their customers so they can improve their shopping experience.

Shopping Centres Australasia (SCA) is leading the way in advanced content display by installing more than 200 Smartlites across 70 + of their shopping centres nationally.

SCA property group general manager, Sid Sharma said, ”We are always looking at ways to improve the shopping experience in our centres for our customers. Our convenient centres are important places in the communities they reside.

“Understanding our customers better will enable us, and our retailers to better cater to our customers needs. We are excited about our partnership with Shopper Media Group in providing our customers access to WiFi and customised information content.”

Shopper Media group managing director, Ed Couche added, “Smartlites offer both shopping centres and advertisers all the targeted data analytic benefits received with an online campaign, plus the broadcast reach benefits only digital Out-of-Home advertising can offer.”

“Smartlites are as close to the point of purchase as your brand can be. Our analytics provide advertisers with the unique opportunity to better integrate their messaging and for consumers it ensures they are being served relevant information, providing them with an enhanced shopping experience within the centre.”

Australians may have embraced online shopping but they still regularly shop at their local shopping centres and Shopper Media Group’s Smartlite technology provides the most effective digital media solution to shopping centres and advertisers in Australia.
