Imagination Bolsters Creative Team With Two New Senior Hires

Global experience agency, Imagination, has appointed Michelle Schuberg as executive creative director and Jake Soper as chief creative technologist.

A well-respected industry figure, Shuberg has worked extensively across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Most recently she held the position of executive creative director at Jack Morton Worldwide, where she was a member of the Global Creative Council.

Schuberg will be responsible for leading Imagination’s creative team and will join the management team, helping to build on the agency’s extraordinary growth. She will report to Imagination Sydney director Heath Campanaro.

Shuberg said there were few better opportunities to deliver truly groundbreaking work than at Imagination. “I am delighted to join such a diverse and dynamic team, leading the way in what’s possible in the world of live experiences,” she added.

A multi-award winning technology expert, Jake Soper, joins as chief creative technologist. Soper has worked on a range of integrated projects for clients including Optus, Samsung, ANZ and Westfield.

Jake added that his technical experience would only add to what was already a formidable team, creating Australia and the world’s most exciting and engaging experiences. “Imagination already excels in both the areas of the creation and execution,“ he said. “My focus will be on leading the team to greater heights by embedding technology at the heart of everything we do.“

Imagination director Heath Campanaro welcomed the new appointments that point to another year of growth ahead for the agency. “Were thrilled about the addition of both Michelle and Jake to our creative team,” he said.

“Imagination are continuing to invest in the best talent from a variety of creative and tech backgrounds, which enables us to strengthen our position as the agency that can solve any problem, at any scale. I can’t wait to see the impact Michelle and Jake have for our clients and the business,“ he added.

Both appointments are effective immediately and are driven by Imagination’s ongoing success on special projects like Sydney New Year’s Eve, the Centenary of Anzac Traveling Exhibition and extensive work for some of the most iconic national and international brands including Telstra, Ford and CommBank, Jaguar, Land Rover and BMW.
