iiNet Appoints Ensemble For Key Projects

Telecommunications network iiNet has appointed Ensemble to handle a major communications project to support iiNet’s sponsorship of the Sydney Sixers cricket team in the KFC T20 Big Bash League.

Ensemble scored the assignment after a competitive pitch including several creative and specialist agencies. In addition to the Sydney Sixers assignment, iiNet has also appointed Ensemble to create and manage activations around iiNet’s involvement in the Floriade spring festival in Canberra this year.

“Ensemble was awarded the Sydney Sixers assignment based on great creative thinking that provides some exciting platforms for fans to interact directly with their team,” said Alicia Phillis, iiNet marketing manager. “We have also appointed the agency to handle our involvement in Canberra’s Floriade 2014 because of their intelligent use of our budget for the festival.”

For the iiNet Sydney Sixers assignment Ensemble will introduce brand partnerships, specialised content and activations to better engage the cricket team with its fans and broader cricket community, with further details on the program to be revealed prior to the season’s launch in November.

Justin Ricketts, CEO of Ensemble, said the forthcoming work for iiNet would draw multiple communications channels together around a strong creative idea that taps into a powerful insight around how fans are engaging with the Big Bash League. “We look forward to revealing the new campaign at a later date,” said Ricketts.
