IGA has launched the next installment in the It Pays to Shop Independent campaign via The Monkeys, celebrating why Australians love to shop with Australia’s biggest independent supermarket network.
Shane Jacobson is back pushing his shopping trolley celebrating Summer in Australia, Robin Walters directed the IGA spots via Curious. IGA’s summer campaign also sees the retailer as the major sponsor of new food and lifestyle program – Aussie Barbecue Heroes – nationally on Channel Seven.
The integrated campaign launched on Wednesday 18th November supported by TV, digital, OOH, print as well as in-store activities.
Metcash’s food and grocery general manager marketing, Madeleine Fitzpatrick said: “This campaign is a continuation of our story of ‘why it pays to shop independent’ and reflects our determination to create a sustainable future for independent business in Australia.
“The new TVC features Shane Jacobson as he resonates with our shoppers and is passionate about supporting independent retailers.
“We know Christmas and Summer are a special time for Australians to entertain with family and friends. The IGA campaign highlights the many entertaining options on offer from the 1500 IGA retailers across the country over the Summer and Christmas period.
“Our summer campaign will be amplified with IGA sponsoring through a new lifestyle BBQ program – Aussie Barbecue Heroes.”
Scott Nowell, ECD at The Monkeys said: “Shopping independent benefits your community and the people around you, which is more important than ever at this time of year.”
