IAA Launches 2016 ‘Write Your Future’ Travel Scholarship In Conjunction With Adobe

The International Advertising Association (IAA) in conjunction with Adobe, have launched the ‘IAA Write your Future’ 2016 travel scholarship, an Australia-wide competition for young marketing communications professionals aged 30 and under.

The winner will receive an all expenses paid trip to the IAA World Congress, to be held in Abu Dhabi on 21-23 March 2016, with travel courtesy of Active International.

IAA ‘Write Your Future’ aims to foster professional development of young talent in the marketing, advertising and media industries, and further their careers in the industry.

This year’s theme focuses on how ‘Millennial Marketers’ are reimagining marketing and entrants are asked to answer one of the following questions:

  • How is content for marketers changing the way we see brands?
  • How has the mobile revolution changed advertising (or marketing)?
  • Is the ‘Internet of Things’ destined to be a marketing game changer?

Submissions will be judged by a panel of five judges chaired by Russel Howcroft, executive general manager of Network TEN and a Gruen panelist.

Notable past winners of IAA scholarships include Siimon Reynolds, Sunita Gloster and Nic Hodges.

“The IAA World Congress attracts more than 1200 delegates from around the world and this year’s theme is ‘Breaking Boundaries’. This event provides a once in a lifetime learning experience for the winner and is a unique opportunity to participate in the premier marketing communications event in the world – a forum of authoritative opinions, stimulation, motivation and exchange of ideas with industry leaders and experts of global standing.”

IAA Write Your Future submissions can be made in video format, as a pitch and a digital amplification plan. More information can be found at iaawriteyourfuture.com.

The deadline for submissions is 22 January 2016 and the winner will be announced on 1 March 2016.
