Havas Worldwide Melbourne Drives Off With New Mercedes Business

Havas Worldwide Melbourne has added Mercedes-Benz to its growing client portfolio after winning the pitch for the Vans business.

Rebecca Williams, senior manager, product and marketing, Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: “We’re looking forward to working with a very strong team at Havas.  It’s an exciting year for the Mercedes Van portfolio with major product launches and innovative initiatives.  We look forward to moving our brand into new territories & marketing channels whilst maintaining our leadership position.”

Mat Crompton, group account director at Havas Worldwide Melbourne, said: “This is a fantastic win for the agency and for the Melbourne office. It’s always an exciting opportunity when you get to work with a brand as prestigious as Mercedes-Benz. There are some interesting challenges ahead in 2015 and we’re all looking forward to helping the team at Mercedes-Benz achieve their objectives.”

Sister PR agency, Red Agency, will support the Havas Worldwide team by handling PR duties on the account. The contract comes after a successful year for Havas Melbourne who changed their management team at the start of 2014 with James Wright moving into the managing director role to run the agency and Havas Media launching in Melbourne.

It also caps off a big 12 months of new business for Havas Worldwide Australia who won the Australian Defence Force account in early 2014.
