Yes! George Costanza Plays The Colonel In Wonderfully Retro KFC Ads

Jason Alexander (aka George Costanza) has resurfaced as the latest incarnation of Colonel Sanders and it has to be said, he plays the role with aplomb.

Alexander channels his former Seinfeld alter ego in a wonderfully retro spot that has its roots in American family sitcoms from the 70s and and 80s, most noticeably the Brady Bunch.

The campaign’s the work of fabled agency Wieden + Kennedy and includes two spots, both as beguiling and as nutty as each other. The ads are designed to promote KFC’s $US20 Fill Ups, bucket-centric takeout bundle intended to feed a family.

“There’s no better person to spread the word about our new ‘family of four’ in a sitcom setting than comedy extraordinaire Jason Alexander!” said Andrea Zahumensky, KFC’s US CMO.
