New Dating App Asks: Does Tinder Work In Real Life?

In a campaign for new dating app TrueView, Creative agency ‘Don’t Panic’ tested out Tinder chat up lines on the streets of London highlighting the negatives of online dating apps.

The video stars Jolyon Rubinstein of Don’t Panic’s BAFTA-winning comedy series The Revolution will be Televised. Rubinstein shows just how bizarre Tinder pick-up lines are in real life as he asks strangers: ‘Are you down to f***’ and ‘Do you give b******* on the first date?’ .

According to TrueView’s research of over 2,000 Brits shows that two in five (41 per cent) respondents admitted to lying on their dating profiles, and that on average Brits spend almost a minute less on connecting with potential partners than it takes them to make a cup of tea.

The campaign hopes to change that:

True View poses the question: Why is the behaviour more understandable once he’s in the context of online dating?
