With a 30-year career in FMCG on the supplier side, David Street has joined Blueprint Group, Australia’s premier sales, merchandising and marketing agency in the retail sector, as general manager new business.

Street previously worked for Duracell batteries, Campbell Arnott’s and Mars confectionery in senior sales and marketing roles. He has success in and a passion for leading and developing large sales teams, creating high performance teams, driving employee engagement and delivering results in a competitive marketplace.

In his new Melbourne-based role, Street will work as part of a senior management team to grow Blueprint Group’s client base, develop the group’s brand in the field sales and marketing space and provide a new perspective on how the company markets its unique offer.

“I have primarily worked on the supplier side of FMCG with much of my experience in leading and developing large sales and merchandising teams,” Street said.

“I have managed accounts across corporate grocery and independent grocery as well as having extensive knowledge of the route channel. This provides me with a strong feel for what clients want across multi channels.”

Blueprint Group companies comprise Powerforce, Ausrep, CCS, Extravert and Retail Insight. Key services include sales and merchandising support, in and out of store sampling and demonstrations, experiential events, auditing, relays/planograms, vendor replenishment planning, point of sale production and data and insights to drive client return on investment.

Victor Davies, CEO of Blueprint Group, said David’s appointment recognises the company’s awareness that it needs to completely understand the supplier’s point of view in developing successful programs.

“Having David on our team will help us connect the needs of the supplier with the ever-growing opportunities being developed in the field sales and merchandising services space.

“Using his knowledge in field execution and brand building we will also be able to capitalise on the trend towards the outsourcing of sales and merchandising teams across the country.”
