Banana + donut, pointer finger + OK hand sign, eggplant + peach – you get the idea. Let’s talk about sex.

Y&R New York’s new commercial for MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation has made the no pants dance just plain weird, with actors dressed up as popular emoji sex innuendos and a condom desperately wanting to get involved.

Don’t believe me just watch:

The ad shows the emojis getting it on sans protection, something the teens the ad is targeting are also doing, and so it encourages getting the condom involved in the fun.

The tagline is: “Make foreplay a threesome. Add a condom.”

The campaign, timed to World AIDS Day on Tuesday, includes a condom emoji keyboard built by Snaps, available at safesext.mtv.com.

And before you ask, yes, Durex has been campaigning to create a condom emoji, but is yet to hit home base, so this is as good as it gets for sexting right now.

The ad was directed by Oscar-winning film editor Angus Wall, and Where the Wild Things Are costume designer Casey Storm even got involved to create the sexy emoji costumes.

We’ll never look at eggplants and bananas the same way again.
