Aussie Duo To Judge New York’s Festival Advertising Awards

Digital agency Online Circle Digital is proud to announce two of the agency’s leads, Lucio Ribeiro and Freya Beaton (in main photo), have been chosen as representatives on the New York Festival Advertising Awards judging panel for 2018.

The awards honour the greatest in advertising around the world. With a judging panel made up of various professionals from the global creative community, the awards are highly esteemed in the advertising industry for noticing and celebrating the diverse and out-of-the-box impact great advertising has.

To choose the most talented individuals from around the globe for the awards jury, the festival adopts a peer-recommendation program of former judges to nominate the best of the best for the following year.

The MD of Online Circle Digital, Lucio Ribeiro, is one of the appointed judges. With over 20 years of marketing experience and a reputation for entrepreneurial thinking, he is excited for the upcoming opportunity. Having co-founded Online Circle Digital in 2007, Ribeiro has built up a portfolio of clients including Mercedes-Benz, Kraft Foods, Parmalat, Crown Resorts and Cadbury, to name a few. Lucio has frequented several judging panels throughout his career, and additionally has won awards for his collaborative advertising and marketing work.

The second appointed judge, Freya Beaton, is the head of creative at Online Circle, and is the brains behind the awarded agency’s creative output.

As one of the most prolific advertising awards in the world, the duo are thrilled and humbled by their appointment on the judging panel.

Ribeiro commented, “The award announcements just keep on coming to us. The advertising industry continues to wow with creative thinking and execution. This is a fantastic opportunity for Freya and I and we can’t wait to see this year’s submissions and what they have to offer.”

This opportunity comes at the end of a very successful year for the indie agency. With the creative team doubling, and the agency taking home multiple awards for creative and media capabilities, Online Circle is gearing up for another year of exciting projects and campaigns.

Entries for the NY awards close January 31st with the official ceremony being held on May 17, 2018 at Jazz Lincoln Centre, New York City.

Past winners range from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Ogilvy & Mather through to McCann New York and Hakuhodo Inc, as well as many others from all over the globe.
