AMBA’s Peter O’Leary Elected To ICOM’s Board

Peter O’Leary, CEO and director of business at Sydney-based agency AMBA Communications, has been named the Asia-Pacific board director of ICOM, a network of more than 80 independent advertising and marketing communications agencies from more than 60 countries.

According to a statement by AMBA, ICOM’s 12-member board has been restructured and expanded to enhance agency connections and collaboration across the globe.

Commenting on his appointment, O’Leary described it as a true pivot point for the agency.

“In this new role, the team at AMBA and I will help ICOM continue to offer seamless support to independent agencies around the world that put results before profit,” he said.

“By reporting directly to brands and not shareholders, ICOM member agencies stay in tune with the needs of local audiences, but with the added confidence of knowing they are backed by a network of likeminded, international partners.”
