Akkomplice Lands The Cream With Aussie Farmers Direct

Aussie Farmers Direct has appointed Akkomplice Group to handle its creative and strategic duties.

The agency has begun working with the Melbourne-based business, nearing in its tenth year of operation.  Akkomplice will also manage media planning and buying in collaboration with independent media shop, Media33.

Kenny Hill, founder of Akkomplice, said:  “We are thrilled with the opportunity to help grow the Aussie Farmers Direct business.  It’s a terrific brand with a great history of innovation.  AFD has a unique proposition and is looking for brave work – a dream client for any agency!”

The appointment follows a string of new business wins for Akkomplice in NSW and QLD and sees the start-up deepen its footprint in the Melbourne market after founder, Hill, departed the role of Managing Director of M&C Saatchi Melbourne this time last year.

Keith Louie, Group CEO of Aussie Farmers Direct, said: “I was impressed with the combination of commercial insight and creative thinking tabled by Akkomplice and their approach to collaboration is refreshing.  We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Kenny and his team of accomplices.”

Louie and Hill remain tight-lipped on plans for Aussie Farmers Direct campaign work, but said “watch this space!”
