Woolworths and mX roll out treat for the senses

Woolworths and News Limited’s mX have teamed up to offer readers a unique sensory experience this Christmas.

From today onwards, the commuter newspaper will roll out a series of scented advertisements, beginning with a page smelling of strawberries and cream to coincide with Woolworths’ Town Hall wall of treats.

Wednesday’s Christmas mX edition will feature a Christmas cake-scented ad to promote the retailer’s array of ingredients.

News Australia Sales’ general sales manager Neil Robinson said: ““With Woolworths, we are showcasing another new dimension to advertising in print as well as a new multi sensory

experience for consumers, which can only aid impact and recall.”

The scented pages were enabled by Reed Pacific Media’s NewsScent Technology.
