Volvo parks Sapient Nitro in favour of Arnold Furnace

Sapient Nitro’s relationship with Volvo Car Australia has become a victim of global alignments, with the automotive brand moving its local account to Arnold Furnace.

Arnold Furnace is part of the Vovlo Car Group’s global agency partner, Arnold.

Matt Braid, managing director Volvo Car Australia, said: “SapientNitro has done a great job with our marketing over the past four years, however as our needs continue to diverge we believe the agreement to transition to our global agency over the next few months is the best move for both our organisations.”

Paul Bennett, national managing director of SapientNitro Australia, said in a statement that the separation was based on Volvo’s consolidation of the account and the direction of the agency “as a new breed of agency”.

“We have enjoyed working the with Vovlo team in Australia, but as a global brand ourselves, we appreciate the benefits of global alignment and we wish Volva Car Australia every success in the next phase of their marketing.”

The loss of the Volvo account comes after Sapient Nitro announced last week that it had won the BT Financial digital account.
