Would you consider yourself a passionate Aussie who is keen to do good for charity?

If so, you should be applying for a year’s paid charity leave through Vodafone’s World of Difference campaign.

The campaign will give two lucky and passionate Australians the chance to complete a years paid work for their charity of choice, funding their work up to $85,000.

 “Vodafone Foundation doesn’t believe cash alone is the cure, but rather tapping into people’s consciences, investing in them and empowering them to do something amazing,” Alyssa Jones, head of Vodafone Foundation, said.

“The World of Difference program gives participants the unique opportunity to make a difference in their local community by offering paid charity leave for an entire year.”

Since its launch in 2002, World of Difference has put 42 Australians on paid leave and allowed them to realise their passion and help make a difference.

“Taking part in the World of Difference program has been a life-changing experience,” Juliette Wright , one of last year’s participants, said.

“By allowing me to spend the last year dedicating my time and energy to promoting GIVIT’s philanthropic efforts, we’ve managed to make a real difference to those in need.”

Applications for the program open today and close 5pm March 3, 2014 so make sure you get in quick.
