Saatchi & Saatchi grows its digital expertise

EXCLUSIVE: Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney has appointed a head of social and a digital director as it seeks to expand further into the digital space.

Maria Casas, former social media strategy director at Reprise Media, joins the agency as head of social and Matt Pratley has left his role as head of production at 303Lowe to join Saatchis as digital director.

Casas, originally from Colombia, has helped drive the social media presences of brands including Universal Pictures, Dreamworld, Oral-B, Coles and Jack Daniel’s.

Prior to Reprise Media, Casas worked at The Furnace, Universal Pictures Australia, Lavender, The White Agency and, in Colombia, at Hake Mate LTDA.

Pratley brings with him 11 years’ experience in digital and creative thinking – and bringing the two together. He was at 303Lowe for two-and-a-half years.

The two appointments continue the agency’s growth since Michael Rebelo came in as CEO in December 2011. Since then, the company has more than doubled, growing from 50 people to now more than 120.
