STW buys into data firm

Marketing and communications group STW has partnered with customer insight data firm Beyond Analysis as it highlights data as a “top priority” for the group.

STW has taken a minority position in the local arm of the UK-based business, whose clients include Visa and Mi9.

Michael Connaghan, chief executive of STW, said: “This investment is another step in STW’s multifaceted, diversified data strategy, and evidence of the quick progress made in our ambition to dominate digital services in Australia.”

“The potential to provide ever more sophisticated and effective marketing for our clients has made data a top priority for STW.

“Beyond Analysis is a highly successful data business with compelling IP and processes, that has established itself at the forefront of the industry in Australia.  This investment will enable us to draw on its unique expertise in turning a vast volume and variety of data into integrated and actionable customer insight.”

Paul Alexander, Beyond Analysis CEO, said the company is looking forward to working with STW Group agencies and their clients to “unlock” the value of their data.

“We bring to the table not just our expertise in transforming seemingly disconnected data into business-ready intelligence, but also our ability to turn that intelligence into creative solutions and deliverables that drive competitive advantage and customer-centric business decisions.”

Beyond Analysis was founded in the UK in 2007 before it set up shop in Australia in 2008.

The company now also operates in Singapore, America and South Africa.
