Creative powerhouse Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has elevated Paul McMillan to managing director and lured Adrian Mills away from McCann.
McMillan, who first joined Clemenger in 2006, is currently the agency’s managing partner and has been the agency’s lead on the Carlton United Breweries account.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Biggsy and James McGrath and the leadership team here at Clemenger to build on the extraordinary success of the agency, and continue to build world-class campaigns for our fantastic clients,” McMillan said in a statement.
Joining the agency as group account director is McCann’s Adrian Mills.
Mills, who was part of the team behind the highly awarded ‘Dumb Ways to Die’ campaign, joins the firm next week.
On Mills’ appointment McMillan said: “Adrian is one of the world’s most awarded account service people. We are thrilled to have him on board, he really gets the work, and he has the added bonus of being a seriously good bloke.”
On McMillan’s promotion CEO Peter Biggs said: “Growth brings with it opportunities and challenges – and to grab those new opportunities and meet those challenges, we are adding extra firepower to the agency’s leadership.”
McMillan first started with Clemenger in 2006 as group account director, two years later he was promoted to client service director before becoming managing partner in 2011.
