M&C Saatchi appoint Whybin’s Mim Haysom to CBA account

M&C Saatchi has continued its hiring spree with the appointment of former WhybinTBWA ANZ Bank lead Mim Haysom as managing partner on its Commonwealth Bank business. Below is the release from M&C Saatchi.

“M&C Saatchi has appointed highly regarded banking specialist Mim Haysom to Managing Partner on its Commonwealth Bank business.

The move will see Haysom relocate to Sydney from her previous role as WhybinTBWA’s Regional Group Head on the ANZ Bank in Melbourne.

Haysom fills the position previously held by Jo Rozario, who will remain on CommBank as part of a lengthy transition while taking on broader responsibilities within the M&C Saatchi Group in her capacity as Managing Partner.

In her three years at Whybin, Haysom held Group leadership responsibility on ANZ across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

She was pivotal in setting the strategic direction and creative platform for the successful global ANZ brand campaign.

Prior to Whybin, Haysom spent 10 years at Cummins & Partners working on a range of clients including FMCG, Pharmaceutical and retail brands in addition to new business development.

A two-year stint at Clemenger Harvie Edge followed another two at JWT where she cut her teeth on the Ford account.

M&C Saatchi Australasia CEO Jaimes Leggett said: “Mim’s experience and skillset are best in market and a perfect fit for this major role within our Group.

“Mim possesses a razor-sharp strategic mind, a profound knowledge of the banking sector and a passion for people and creativity which is inspiring. We are thrilled to have her on board.”

Leggett also paid tribute to Rozario and her “incredible work making our CommBank partnership so strong and successful in the past two years”.

“Jo has been simply brilliant leading the CommBank account from day one, delivering exceptional results everyday since. The success of CommBank Can, in all its iterations, is a tribute in itself to what Jo has achieved.

“Jo will be taking on a broader role within the Group, so the really great news is she isn’t going anywhere.”

Haysom said: “I am beyond excited about the opportunity to join such a strong leadership team with a fantastic vision for the future of the agency.

“M&C Saatchi is doing great work across its group of businesses, and I’m looking forward to working with the amazing talent in the agency, and on CommBank which is such an iconic brand and innovative client.”

Haysom is the latest in a big talent bolster by M&C Saatchi that includes the appointment of Chief Strategy Officer Justin Graham from Droga5 and Group Innovation Director Ben Cooper from The Monkeys.”
