Jules Lund 'gets appy' for Jetstar's 10th Bday

To celebrate entering the double digits Jetstar is asking Australians to ‘get appy’ with a Facebook app that re-creates photographs from the past.

The social campaign forms part of Jetstar’s 10th birthday celebrations.

Facebook-housed app allows users to re-create memorable travel photos. There are also ten $1000 Jetstar Flight Vouchers up for grabs which users can try and win by sharing their updated travel photo with the hashtag #jestargeneration.

Liz McCarthy, Jetstar Group head of marketing, said: “Users can now transform an original holiday snap to a humorous re-created photo, whether it’s wearing that 80s fluro plastic sun visor outside the Big Banana – or that classic family portrait in front of the Sydney Opera House.”

“10 years ago, Jetstar first took to the skies – offering low fares and greater choice. Since then we’ve created a whole new generation of travellers.

“We wanted to do something entertaining to celebrate this and to give back to the customers who have helped us grow over the past decade.”

The campaign was created by Maxus and built by mCreate.

A national campaign celebrating Jetstar’s 10 years of flying and the #jetstargeneration is running across TV, digital, radio, outdoor and print throughout May.
