McCann Melbourne has recruited freelance creative and former The Campaign Palace joint CD, Jessica Harold, as creative director.

Harold will work along side existing McCann Melbourne CD Pat Baron and replaces Annie Price who has left the agency after more than two years.

Price, who joined McCann in December 2011, has joined The Brand Agency as senior creative.

McCann was recently named in The Gunn Report as the world’s most awarded creative agency.

The full release on Harold’s appointment is below:

McCANN Australia, the world’s most awarded creative agency, has announced the appointment of Jessica Harold as Creative Director to replace the outgoing Annie Price.

Executive Creative Director, John Mescall said: “We're absolutely thrilled and extremely lucky to have Jess on board. She's not only a brilliant talent with a great track record on many of Australia's best brands, she's also an extremely nice person, and just one of those people who makes any agency better.”

On Annie Price, John Mescall said: “Annie is one of the industry’s best and nicest people, and she made a huge contribution to the agency over several great years. We all wish her all the very best at her new gig.”

Former Joint Creative Director at The Campaign Palace, Harold joins existing McCANN Melbourne CD Pat Baron, and will be working on clients such as Specsavers, L’Oreal Paris and FortyWinks.

Harold said: “McCANN is a great agency with some amazingly talented people. What more could you ask for?  I'm excited to be working with some truly iconic brands and being part of the McCANN team.”

Harold joins the agency at a time when it is experiencing a creative renaissance. This month, McCANN Australia was named by the Gunn Report as the world's most awarded creative agency and 3rd most awarded digital agency after it won more than 200 trophies in 2013 across 15 different campaigns, including Metro Trains, Google, Specsavers and V/Line, as well as global recognition for its Australian work on major network clients like MasterCard and L'Oreal Paris. McCANN's award haul helped see Australia place 2nd overall in the Gunn Report's nation’s ranking, surpassing the UK for the first time in 14 years.

Harold is an awarded Creative Director with a strong mix of retail, fashion and brand experience. Most recently at The Campaign Palace overseeing Target and Berlei, Harold was responsible for the national re-launch of the Berlei Brand. Spanning her career Jessica has created outstanding work for REA, Origin Energy, Cadbury Schweppes, Levi's and PacBrands.
