Jeep mysteriously pulls dry-humping dog spot

Mystery surrounds why a TVC starring a urinating, dry-humping dog has been pulled from the Jeep Australia YouTube channel.

As reported by B&T last week, the new Jeep campaign was shot by Hollywood director Bobby Farrelly, of Dumb and Dumber fame.

The campaign, called ‘Every dog can have its day’ follows the exploits of a mutt in obedience classes. At first it performs well in front of the ageing trainer, but when a new handsome trainer comes along and makes eyes at the dog’s owner, the animal resorts to drastic measures to get them kicked out of the class.

But, soon after announcing the new campaign, the Fiat Chrysler Group pulled the 90-second spot from its YouTube channel, replacing it with a nine-second teaser.

The answer a Fiat Chrysler Group spokesperson gave B&T when questioned why, was: “A teaser of the Jeep Compaass ‘Every dog has its Jeep, too’ TVC is now available online. We will re-issue the full 90-second version closer to the on-air date in May.”
