ING fights for the disappearing lunch hour

ING Direct is out to fight for the disappearing lunch break, bringing UK magician Dynamo down under for some lunch-hour shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

The bank will present Dynamo on July 18 in Melbourne and July 19 in Sydney as part of its free ‘Spend Your Lunch Well’ campaign.

Other events will include a sushi rolling class, a music writing workshop with Josh Pyke and Chance Waters and interactive art classes with street artist Indo.

John Arnott, executive director customer ING Direct, said: “We are all about saving our customers time on banking, so instead, we’d rather see our customers spend their time doing fun, memorable and interesting things. So, let’s start with lunch.”

The campaign links back to the bank’s tagline, spend your life well.

Mat Baxter, chief executive UM Australia, added:"This activation program is designed to bring ING DIRECT's Spend Your Life Well positioning to life by encouraging Australians to get up from behind their desks at lunchtime and spend the time better by doing something personally rewarding or interesting.”
