IGA’s Australia Day ‘G’day’

IGA’s Australia Day ‘G’day’

Say ‘G’day G’day’ at IGA stores this Australia Day with the launch of its new campaign ‘Say G’day Day’.

The campaign highlights an original remix of the song made famous by Slim Dusty at its centre, encouraging customers to say ‘G’day’ when they shop at the independent grocers.

Encompassing the fun, honest and slightly cheeky elements of Australia, IGA has enlisted a collection of up-and-coming independent Australian artists to produce a modern version of the iconic tune.

The Australia Day campaign will also be supported by outdoor advertising company Adshel and across IGA’s social media platforms, along with recipes, products and offers on the dedicated Australia Day section of IGA’s Facebook page.

“By resurrecting the household classic, ‘G’day G’day’ we want to celebrate everything that is great about being Australian, encouraging the whole country to sing along and say G’day to each other,”

Michele Teague, general manager marketing at Metcash food and grocery.

“With over 1,400 stores across the country, no matter where our customers celebrate this Australia Day, there will be an IGA or SUPA IGA just around the corner where locals can pop in and say G’day.”

Until April 19, customers are encouraged to download and stream the modern version of the song from here.
