After bringing cybersex to the masses with Fundawear condom brand Durex is out to boost intimacy levels with a Guinness World Record breaking stunt.
The condom brand has launched its ‘The Great Embrace’ competition to promote its Embrace Pleasure Gels.
The contest challenges Australian couples to break the current world record of the world’s longest hug to win a $20,000 voucher for an engagement ring.
The world’s longest hug currently stands at 25 hours, 22 minutes and 36 seconds.
The contest will take place in Sydney at Palm Grove, Darling Harbour.
A TVC which appears to take inspiration from Peter Pan’s Tinker Bell with the balls of light that bounce around representing the couple’s euphoria has been created for the UK market. See the video below. For more on The Great Embrace click here and visit Durex Australia's Facebook page here.
The local promotion follows on from another couple-ly stunt Fundawear, created by Havas Worldwide Australia, which saw Durex send touch over the internet.
Actuators which make smartphones vibrate were embedded into the Fundawear garments and an app controlled where and how the actuators vibrated. Click here for more.
