Creative agency Hello I’m Venus is behind a new series of sarcastic TVCs for SCA tissue brand Handee.

The ‘Said no one ever’ campaign shows big messes being made in people’s home, followed by sarcastic comments from them about how great the mess is.

Kimberley Knapp, marketing manager at SCA Hygiene Australasia, said: “By looking past the traditional celebration of cleaning, we created a unique, tongue-in-cheek communications approach that does away with predictable cleaning clich√©s.

“The campaign is based on a very real, but often unacknowledged insight – our consumer is less concerned with the division of labour and more interested in looking for a quick solution to clean up and get on with it.”

Jessie Jordan, creative director at Hello I’m Venus, added: “We all know that mess happens, so there’s no use getting our knickers in a knot about it. This campaign recognises that most people prefer breaking free, getting on with life and having fun.”

The campaign includes four TVCs, press ads, outdoor and social.
