Up and coming Aussie band Glass Towers will be playing a set as part of the MAD Week Battle of the Bands next Friday, July 19.
The Byron Bay band will be playing tracks from their album ‘Halcyon Days’, which was Triple J’s Album of the Week last week, fresh from supporting massive indie acts The Kooks and Maximo Park, and are about to embark on an Australia-wide tour.
Spiderbait frontman Kram will also be interviewed on stage by Sound Alliance's Stig Richards as part of the Inside Creative session on Wednesday, July 17, about his creativity, and thoughts on commercial work.
As well as the band five finalists from across the adland spectrum will be taking to the stage at Water @ Pier One in The Rocks, Sydney, battling it out for the prize of a day in a recording studio.
They are Strictly Sergei from Aegis Media will be looking to make Harold Mitchell proud before he steps down later this year, with what’s described as “An eclectic mix of indie rock and post modern Venusian surf rock”.
Entering the ring for MCN, The Joe Brown Experience, will be fighting for the crown of best band in adland.
Mindshare have the double threat of both Pat Hammond & The Exchanges and Lisa Talino to try and take home the crown for them.
Rounding off the bill is The Sun and the Sky, comprised of three brothers from all over the advertising industry, and a bass player we’re sure is ‘like a brother’ to them all.
