EXCLUSIVE: Retail giant Myer has confirmed to B&T the five agencies left in the running for its lucrative creative account.

Last month, Myer said all creative agencies "now have the opportunity to join with an iconic brand in Australia’s leading department store and should register their interest to be part of the tender process”.

The five on the shortlist includes Badjar Ogilvy, Clemenger, CumminsRoss, Leo Burnett and M&C Saatchi.

In a statement a spokesperson for Myer told B&T that following the announcement of a tender process for its creative services agency account last month, Myer today advised that it has reviewed all expressions of interest received and that it has shortlisted five agencies to receive requests for proposals.

The spokesperson added that the process continues and it is anticipated that the successful agency will be appointed by the end of the year.
