Cannes Young Lions finalists revealed

The 80 Young Lions finalists vying for a handful of places at this year’s Cannes festival have been revealed by sponsors News Limited.

A team of 63 judges sifted through a record number of applications for the competition in the categories of print, film, media, digital and marketing, tasked with promoting the improved sports offering for News Limited following the acquisition of Fox Sports last year.

Chair of the media judging panel Mat Baxter said: "This year we received a record number of entries and it's clear the Young Lions is now considered the premier competition for young talent in Australia.
