Nando’s is coming to the aid of office-workers’ bland lunches and offering re-sauce-itation with a team of Peri-medics in a new experiential campaign.

The campaign, which saw Nando’s Grocery Australia team up with word of mouth agency 1000heads, sees Peri-medics arrive at offices and administering emergency relief to boring meals.

The Peri-medics arrive in an ambulance with a stretcher full of sauces to “perform triages on afflicted lunches” the release said.

“By assessing blandness, checking for severe plain and dealing with all sorts of food in need of help, the PERi-medics administer food re-sauce-itation to affected meals. Along with sampling, a series of games are played to encourage interaction on and offline as well as performing the induction of a new PERi-Medic at each office.”

“Upon exit, the Peri-medic team leaves behind an emergency re-sauce-itation chart, vouchers, and countless bottles of Peri-Peri to be used at the office.”

The campaign also consists of a social media strategy, PR and minimal online advertising.

Spoof job ads in local and metro papers have also been planted with a call to action for workers to volunteer their office for becoming an “authorised Peri-medic”.

The campaign is set to visit the Austereo broadcast studios and has already been to Optus and Komatsu Australia. Click here to find out how the Peri-medics can visit your workplace.
