Bondi Advertising bags former Heineken marketer

Exclusive: Bondi Advertising has snared former Heineken national marketing manager, Steve Muller, as its marketing and planning partner.

Muller’s appointment comes as the agency celebrates its third birthday – something the Bondi Advertising crew says has bolstered the agency’s “maturity for serious brand work”.

Muller’s career-to-date includes a three year stint as Heineken’s national marketing manager from 1998 to 2001.

This was preceded by two years as Heineken brand manager at Guinness Australia, and two years as assistant brand manager at Unilever working on brands like Drive, Omo and Surf.

More recently he held the position of business director at Droga5 from February 2008 to December 2009, helping to secure foundation client, Fosters.

He also worked for one year as marketing manager at trend-spotting website, thecoolhunter.com. The Cool Hunter was founded in 2004 and claims to be “the world’s most-read culture and design site, a leading authority on all things creative and a truly global hub for what’s cool, thoughtful, innovative and original.”

Bondi Advertising founder Jonas Allen said: “Steve’s the perfect fit, even though he’s originally from The ‘Bra. His strength at hunting for insights and effective creative is powerful. Steve’s knowledge and experience at developing brands and idea’ s that engage organisations and consumers is invaluable.”

Bondi Advertising was established in January 2010 by Allen – a former CD at Moon Design (now Moon Communications) and ex-Mambo Graphics CD.
