Become a WaterHERO

Chuck your budgie smugglers on over your suit and wear them with pride, but only those who pass the WaterHERO test can pull of such a tricky look.

As part of SwimSAFER week Energy Australia and Swim Australia have new campaign to encourage Australians to test their water safety knowledge.

Created by The Works, the ad encourages those that pass the test to don their swimmers over their clothes as a demonstration of support.

The Works developed the online test with the two brands, created the WaterHERO website, online banners, strip ads and posters.

A PR campaign will amplify the work, with coverage by Network Ten, News Corp and Fairfax Radio.

Simon Brady, head of product and brand marketing at EnergyAustralia, said: “Water safety is a serious issue but we wanted a device that would get Australians talking as well as encouraging them to see just how water aware they are. WaterHERO will drive participation in a fun and engaging way.”

The campaign is timed to coincide with SwimSAFER Week (November 25-December 1).
